Calculus is a fundamental topic of Mathematics. Each chapter contains the requisite
theory as well as a fairly large number of solved examples, along with graphs. Plenty
of problems are given at the end of each chapter. Many of the problems have been
selected from various university examination papers. To cater to the specific needs
of the students, a chapter on practical lab using Mathematica software — discussing
plotting of various types of graphs, calculation of derivatives of functions and plotting
of its derivatives, etc. — has also been given. Apart from regular courses, this book
will also be useful for students appearing in various competitive exams.
Kuldeep Chaudhary is Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Amity
Institute of Applied Sciences, Amity University, Noida. He obtained his M.Sc. from
Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee; and PhD from University of Delhi. He
received CSIR-NET-JRF fellowship as junior and senior research fellow in
University of Delhi. He has teaching experience of more than six years.
Shashank Goel is Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Amity Institute
of Applied Sciences, Amity University, Noida. He obtained his M.Sc. in Mathematics
from University of Delhi; and PhD from M.D. University, Rohtak. He has teaching
experience of more than six years.
