This book has been designed as the basic text for the undergraduate students of
Electrical & Electronics Engineering. It provides a thorough understanding of the basic
principles and techniques of the power system analysis as well as their applications to
real-world problems.
B. Subramanyam is Director, Nalanda Group of Institutions, Sattenapali (M) Guntur,
Andhra Pradesh. He obtained his Ph.D (1977) from National Institute of Technology,
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh. With more than 34 years of teaching and research
experience, he has guided many Ph.D and M. Tech. students. He has many awards to his
credit including the Best Teacher Award (2003) by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
B. Venkata Prasanth, Professor and Head, Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Department, Narayana Engineering College, Gudur, obtained his Ph.D in Electrical
Engineering from JNT University, Hyderabad.
He has been involved with teaching and guiding students in the areas of circuits and
systems, power system operation and control, modern and digital control systems,
electrical machine modelling, computer methods in power systems, etc. He has also
contributed more than ten papers in the international as well as national journals of high
repute.
