Description
This book includes basic concepts of Biostatistics and deals with the Measures of
Central Tendency, Dispersion, Distributions, Correlation, Regression, Testing of
Hypothesis, Testing of Significance, Analysis of Variance, Design of Experiments,
Statistical Quality Control and Non-Parametric Tests. Each chapter contains
worked examples to support the theory part.
K. Balaji is Professor, Department of Statistics and Mathematics, Intell Engineering
College, Anantapur. He has been teaching Statistics and Mathematics to M.Sc.,
B.Sc., B.A., M.C.A., M.Pharm, B.Pharm, and B.Tech courses, besides guiding the
Ph.D candidates. He was a member of Board of Studies for Statistics (2007) and
Board of Studies for Mathematics (2009) of Sri Krishnadevaraya University,
Anantapur and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur,
respectively. With twenty years of teaching experience, he has published more
than 10 research papers in international and national journals.
A.V.S. Raghavaiah is Lecturer in Statistics, Govt. Degree College for Men,
Anantapur. He has been teaching Statistics to B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. students
since the last eighteen years and published more than five papers in national and
international journals.
K.N. Jayaveera is Professor of Chemistry and Director, JNTU Oil Technological
Research Institute, Anantapur. He obtained his Ph.D in Chemistry from JNTU,
Hyderabad (1991). He has more than 35 years of teaching and research
experience at JNTUA. He is recipient of state award as best teacher in university
education for the year 2009, sponsored by the state government of Andhra
Pradesh.
