elementary level of sampling process. It covers topics like Z-transforms, filter approximations,
digital filters (both IIR & FIR), Discrete Fourier Transforms (DFTs), Fast Fourier Transforms
(FFTs), filter realisation techniques, Multi-rate Signal Processing, DSP Processors, and DSP
Applications.
At the end, MATLAB programming is given on various DSP topics.
The aim is to impart adequate knowledge to the undergraduate-level students in DSP area.

K.Raja Rajeswari (Ph.D.) is Principal, Viswanadha Institute of Technology and Management
(VITAM), Visakhapatnam. Earlier, she has served as Professor for about 35 years in the
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, College of Engineering
(Autonomous), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. She has published more than 200 papers
in IEE, IEEE and IETE journals, and presented many papers in national and international
conferences. Dr. Rajeswari is expert member for the Department of Science and Technology
(DST), New Delhi under the women scientist scheme. She is also expert member for National
Board of Accreditation (NBA), All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. Her
research interests include radar/sonar signal processing and wireless mobile
communications. She has guided eighteen Ph.D.s and, presently, twelve are pursuing under
her guidance. She has published 3 books – Electronic Devices and Circuits, Electronic
Circuit Analysis, and Signals and Systems.
