Systematic Nomenclature of Organic Compounds aids chemical
communication through the presentation of methods and their use in
forming reasonable, acceptable, and unambiguous names for organic
compounds. It describes in a common language so that the nomenclature is
made useful and understandable for both undergraduate and graduate
students. A diagrammatic presentation is given to create interest in the topic
along with a comparison of different nomenclature operations for some
compounds with some typical structures. A number of examples are
discussed in a systematic step-by-step approach.
